Impressive! I've used the other big name wireless lavalier mics extensively for over a decade but when I decided to branch out into independent news production it was hard to stomach the price... Not only that, having a dual mic option for interviews was always a pain with two transmitters and two receivers. This ACEMIC system seems just as rugged, is rechargeable and the sounds is every bit as good as produced by the two other brands I've used that start with the letter 'S'. I think the quality of sound at range is even BETTER than the S-named brands - no breaking up or loss of signal when the transmitter/receiver combo is out of line-of-sight when recording at a distance of 50 meters. These have only been in my kit for a few months, so I can't remark on the long-term reliability of these units. I don't pixel peep my audio, so also can't comment on what sort of improvement could be made by adding a more expensive microphone - the ones that came with the kit sound good and clients (and their engineers) are pleased. I've fiddled a bit with the input range on the receiver to fine-tune the sound into camera and a setting of 12 seems to provide enough gain without blowing out the top end. For me, this ACEMIC kit is a no-brainer - easy to use, reliable an good sounding - all at less than half the price of two transmitter/receiver combos from the other major brands.

Built like a tank and great sound quality. As with every ACEMIC product I’ve purchased and reviewed, the quality standards of this system is second to none. The transmitters and receiver are built like a tank. Solid metal construction. Plenty of accessories for your every need. All conveniently contained within the included hardshell, foam-lined case. Needs no external batteries, so you don’t have to worry about extra spending on rechargeable A-style batteries. These units (transmitters and receiver) came nearly fully charged—it only took about an hour to charge all three units. And thanks to the included 3-way USB charger, you save loads of time charging them all at once.

Not only do they feel sturdy but they are metal. Really impressed with this system. I have previously been using a Rode lav and Sennheiser wireless system. But I needed more lavs and didn't want to break the bank on more Sennheiser equipment. When the product arrived I taken aback with the quality and build of the 3 units. Not only do they feel sturdy but they are metal! The case they come in is really great. Ok lets talk about the audio quality, this was a big deal for me! I film weddings and need top notch audio I will not compromise on bad equipment or stuff that just doesn't work well. After comparing the audio from the ACEMIC vs my Sennheiser setup I can say with full confidence that the quality is almost the same if not better...crazy I know! The stock 2 lavs that come with the setup are great! I was thinking I would need to change them to something better, but I will definitely be using them. Signal was another thing that really mattered to me, will there be random audio drop outs, noise, etc. I did a short video test to see if a short distance maybe 100ft would cause any issues. It didn't which made me real happy! Overall Im really impressed and would highly recommend these to anyone!

Excellent product, very good price and excellent service! Before buying an expensive wireless lapel kit, I rented a Sennheiser wireless lapel mic set to test it and was just about to buy one. I then came across this ACEMIC DV-500Dual set. After reading some reviews and seeing some videos on it, I decided to give it a try. The price was almost half of the Sennheiser kit and included not one, but two transmitter sets (and all its accessories). Not only that, but the kit included a very nice and study case, which the Sennheiser was lacking. I was very pleasantly surprised by the ACEMIC set. The build quality is better than the Sennheiser (all metal vs some plastic on the Sennheiser), and the belt clip is much tighter than on the Sennheiser. The other major benefit for me is that it is rechargeable via the included USB cable. No need to switch AA batteries anymore! As far as sound quality, I was VERY impressed. No background noise at all and microphone really picks up the voice from a good distance. The ability to sync the channels between the transmitter and receiver via IR is also a nice touch. Sennheiser should learn from ACEMIC. ACMIEC’s kit offers much more for a lot less with comparable sound quality and superior build quality.
